It is with great sadness that the family of Craig Scott Dow announces
his passing on April 19, 2017, at the age of 58 in Grand
Junction, Colorado.
Craig was born on October 24, 1958, to Harlin and Beverly
Dow in Cloquet, Minnesota. He was the quietest of four rowdy
boys. During his childhood, Craig was a collector and saver of
all things, rocks and Halloween candy being the most popular.
Ten month old Halloween candy was a childhood currency that
his bothers regularly tried to find as theirs didn’t last more than
a week. He graduated from Montrose High School in Montrose,
Colorado. Upon graduation, he entered the plumbing profession
and continued in this career throughout his life.
Craig enjoyed wood working, tinkering with his tools, and his
family. He liked to restore antiques and couldn’t pass up a good
deal on tools at a garage sale. He was a quiet soul who didn’t always
say much, but made time for his family. His mom will
greatly miss the regular Sunday morning calls. He enjoyed
spending his weekends with his son, often going to festivals
around town, the skate park, and arcade. His daughters will fondly
look back on their memories of him; especially their time
spent outdoors, fishing, and 4-wheeling.
Craig will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Beverly;
children, Stephanie (Jorge), Candace, and Dakota; brothers,
Keith (Bernadette), Randy, and Mark; grandchild, Kiana; nieces,
Chandra (Nick), Madasyn and Layla; nephew, Tanner, and
uncles, Paul, Harold, and Duane. He will be missed by friend,
Cindy and her two daughters, Tasha and Muranda.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harlin.
A funeral service in memory of Craig will be held on Saturday,
April 29, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Mesa Funeral Home, 155
Merchant Drive, Montrose, Colorado.
Memorial donations, in memory of Craig, may be made to the
American Foundation for Suicide Prevention or HopeWest Hospice.
