LEON EARL KIRBY
Leon Earl Kirby was born May 12, 1884 in Atwood, 111. and spent the earlier part of his life in Kansas. In 1900 be married Ethel Walker and in 1911 the family moved to Monte Vista, Colorado, later moving to Steamboat Springs There lie engaged in freighting to Meeker and in 1914 homesteaded near Toponas. In 1942 the Kirbys moved to Oak Creek and worked in the coal mines until he bought a service station. He passed away at tbe Middle Park Hospital in Kremmling Apr. 7. During recent years he made his home with his sons. Preceding Mr. Kirby in death were his wife, Ethel and a daughter, Eileen. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Corrine Greve of Bradenton, Fla., six sous: Kenneth of Yampa; Howard and Ferris of Toponas: Ronald Harold and Keith of McCoy; and 19 grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; one brother. Frank of Palm Spings, Calif, and a sister 1 Lillie Robbins of Wichita, Kans.
