NIELS LARSEN BURIED AUGUST NINTH Niels Larsen, resident of Eagle County since 1912, 4jed in the Olenwood hospital, wtyjsre he had been a patient for the past several weeks. He was bom Jan. 20. 1886 in Plougstrup, Denmark, the son of Jens and Anna Johanna Larsen. He received his education and spent his early life in Denmark. On March 23, 1912, he joined his younger brother, Hans, in America. Niels engaged in general farming until poor health forced his > semi-retirement. He loved the out doors, and spent a great deal of time at his favorite hobbies of prospecting, fishing and hunting. After years of illness, which he bore with fortitude, he passed away at Valley View Hospital Aug. 6. Funeral services were held at the Eagle Methodist Church Aug. 9, conducted by the Reverend H. C. Moorehead. Interment was in, the Eagle cemetery, directed by Bowman Mortuary. Pallbearers were D. E. Johnson, George Carlow, Herman Stein. Tom Taylor, Bernard Ginther and Fred Rule. He is survived by his brother, Hans of Eagle; a niece, Melissa Trezise, Eagle and a nephew, Duane Larsen, Eagle.
