Funeral services were held Wednesday at 10 am for Elmer H. Leichtle of Eagle at the Eagle Methodist Church. The Rev. Steve Goodier officiated at the ceremonies. Leichtle, 46, died in Eagle Saturday morning. he moved to Eagle in 1960 and had been employed by the Satterfield Brothers Sawmill until he worked for his last employer, Kaibab Industries. He was born March 8, 1933 at Petaca, NM. Survivors include his mother, Leonor Valdez of Eagle; brothers, Albert of Salt Lake City, UT, George and Wilder of Espanda, NM; Donald of Albuquerque; sisters Florence Toybal of Leadville, Emma Portillo of Albuquerque; and a stepfather, Carlos Valdez of Eagle.
Interment was at Sunset Cemetery in Eagle. Farnum-Richardson Mortuary of Glenwood Springs was in charge of arrangements.
