Robert Pierre Leroy, formerly of Avon, died December 28, 2000 in Rancho Mirage, CA. He was born August 22, 1925 to Elie and Helen (Wright) Leroy in Jersey City, NJ. H e married Florence Simmons on June 15, 1957 in Los Angeles. He was training by the Jesuits at Loyola High School and Loyola University in Los Angeles and served his country in the US Navy during World War II. Robert was a well respected executive in the hotel industry for more than 45 years. His memberships included the International Wine and Food Society and the Society of Bacchus. He is survived by his wife, Florence; daughter Patria (John Sullivan); son, Robert David; sister Marie (Askel Pederson): three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He will be remember by a widespread family of friends.
