Elijah Ray Gastelum, 15, Palisade, died April 21, 2017, at his
home.
Services will take place at 10 a.m. Friday at the Clifton Christian
Church.
Survivors include his mother, Brooke Martinez of Palisade; his
father, Paul Gastelum of Colorado Springs; three brothers, Brandon
Gastelum, Noah Gastelum, and Paul Gastelum, all of Palisade;
and two sisters, Ashlynn Murphy, and Lacy Gastelum, both of Palisade.

Elijah Ray Gastelum, age
15, died April 21, 2017.
He was the son of Brooke
Martinez and Paul Gastelum;
brother of Brandon, Noah,
and Ashlynn Murphy; half
brother to Paul and Lacy
Gastelum; grandson of Gary
and Linda Martinez, and Bill
and Karen Meador; nephew to
Devan Salazar, Jesica and
Travis Hughes, Erin and Doug Schleimer, and Brandon
Martinez; cousin to Jordan, Taylor and Sydney Rivas, Robbie
and David Hughes, Timothy Martinez, Logan English, Jayden
Bentz, and Austin Martinez and so many friends.
Elijah was born in Grand Junction and attended high school at
Palisade. He lived for sports, and enjoyed Baseball and MMA
the most. He always carried a ready smile, and a great sense of
humor. His drive for competition was infectious, and he usually
had his whole family and friends involved in what he was doing.
Services will be provided by Palisade Funeral Home at Clifton
Christian Church, Friday, April 28th, at 10:00 a.m. In the spirit
of what Elijah enjoyed most, the family asks that you wear
baseball attire to his service.
