Cheryl Ann Holton, 56, Grand Junction, died May 9, 2017, at
HopeWest and Hospice Care Center.
Services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Delta United
Methodist Church in Delta. Inurnment will follow at Cedaredge
Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Jerome “Jerry” Holton; two
daughters, Desirea Holton; and Nicole Holton; two sisters, Karen
Tice and Susan Luna; and two grandchildren.

Cheryl Ann Holton, passed
away peacefully on Tuesday,
May 9, 2017, at The
HopeWest Care Center in
Grand Junction, Colorado.
She was 56 years old.
A memorial service will be
held 10:00 a.m., Saturday,
May 13, 2017, at the Delta
United Methodist Church in
Delta, Colorado. Inurnment will follow in Cedaredge Cemetery
in Cedaredge, Colorado.
Cheryl Ann Broughton was born May 12, 1960, to Harold and
Carol (Pratt) Broughton in Omak, Washington. She spent her
childhood and attended school in Grand Junction and Delta.
Cheryl graduated with the class of 1978. After high school she
went on to further her education at Mesa State University.
On February 3, 1979, Cheryl married the love of her life,
Jerome G. “Jerry” Holton at Delta United Methodist Church in
Delta, Colorado. To this union two daughters were born. The
couple had the honor of sharing 38 years of love and marriage.
Cheryl spent several decades working in the horticulture
industry. She belonged to Delta United Methodist Church,
P.E.O., Washington State Horticulture Society, served a term as
the first woman president of the Western Colorado Horticulture
Society in addition to several rounds as the secretary-treasurer,
and was a troop leader in the Girl Scouts. She enjoyed shotgun
sports as a member of the Delta Trap Club, genealogy, art,
Native American culture, but most of all she loved and cherished
spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Jerome “Jerry” Holton;
daughters, Desirea Holton (Gerry) and Nicole Holton; sisters,
Karen Tice (Steve) and Susan Luna (Efren), and grandchildren,
Toby and Anais.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cheryl found great joy in helping others. In lieu of flowers you
