Barbara C. Graff passed
away peacefully on June 29,
2017, in American Fork Utah.
She was a long time resident
of Grand Junction, CO.
She was born May 30, 1929,
to Arthur J. Carson and Fern
Hawkins Carson in Los
Angeles, California. She grew
up in the area of Price, Utah
and graduated from Carbon
High School in 1947. She met her husband William W. "Bill"
Graff at Geneva Steel Mills in Provo Utah. They were married
November 15, 1947, in Elko Nevada. They farmed in American
Fork Utah and had two daughters, Diane and Connie there. In
1958, they moved to Olathe, Colorado and ran a dairy business.
Another daughter, Judy, joined their family. Two years later
they moved to Delta, Colorado and opened Western Livestock
Supply. In 1960 they moved their business to Grand Junction
and in 1966 opened Graff Dairy. Here their son Wayne was
born.
Barbara was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints. She served in many positions from Primary President to
Relief Society President. She served a mission for her church in
Scarsdale, New York in 2003. She was an avid Broncos fan,
loved to read and do puzzles. She had an outgoing personality
and enjoyed being with people.
She is preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Delbert
Wilcox; brother, Gerald Wilcox; husband, Bill; and daughter,
Judy. She is survived by children, Diane (Bruce) Davis, Connie
(Steve) Johnson, and Wayne (Kelli) Graff; son-in-law, David
Nichols; 13 grandchildren; and 29 plus great-grandchildren.
They were all the joy of her life.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 8,
2017, at the Warenski Funeral Home, 1776 North 900 East,
American Fork, Utah. Family and friends may call from 8:45 to
9:45 a.m. on Saturday prior to services. Interment will be at the
American Fork City Cemetery.
