Linda L. Fowler

Linda L. Fowler passed
away on June 11, 2017 in
Montrose, CO. She was born
December 6, 1938 to Claud
and Gladys (Berry) Gay,
during a blizzard in Gunnison,
CO.
Linda and her family moved
to Delta, CO where she spent
her youth, then to Grand
Junction, CO, where she
graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1957. Linda
married her high school sweetheart, John H. Fowler, of Grand
Junction, CO.
Linda was a swimming instructor at the old Moyer pool. She
and John were active in the Grand Junction community and
Latin Anglo Alliance. She loved card games and arts and crafts.
Linda was a bookkeeper at Ultronix, Independent Lumber, and
retired from Broken Hill Mining in Ely, NV.
She is survived by sisters, Nellie Wolf, Janet Hinchman (Bud);
brother, Larry Gay (Shirley); son, John M. Fowler (Melinda);
daughter, Rebecca Cleaves; grandchildren, Zebulon Bellon,
Rozlyn Fowler, Sidney Fowler and Zane Cleaves; greatgrandchildren,
Ilyse and MacKenzie; and numerous extended
family.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, John; brother,
Claud; and her best friend, sister-in-law, Cordelia (Fowler)
Maldonado.
There will be a graveside service at Delta Cemetery on June
17, 2017 at 2 p.m.
