Betty Ofelia Roybal, 90, Grand Junction, died May 16, 2017, HopeWest and Palliative Care Center.Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Martin Mortuary. Ser-vices will be at noon at the mortuary. Graveside services will follow at Grand Junction Memorial Gardens Cemetery.She was a cook.Survivors include two sons, Fred of Grand Junction, and Dan of Pueblo West; one daughter, Janet Davis of Elko, Nevada; one brother, Jake Maestas of Florence; five sisters, Viola Martinez and Juanita Serna, both of Grand Junction, Dorothy Maez of Colorado Springs, Gloria Archuleta of Poncha Springs and Donna Rendon of Lakewood; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Betty Ofelia Roybal, 90,
joined her husband in heaven
on May 16, 2017.
She was born on December
21, 1926, in Salida, CO to
John and Laura Maestas. In
1951, she married George
Roybal. Betty worked as a
cook and dietician at Salida
Hospital until retirement.
The legacy she leaves behind
is the beautiful family that she devoted her life to and loved with
all her heart. Betty is survived by sisters, Viola Martinez,
Dorothy Maez, Gloria Archuleta, Donna Rendon, and Juanita
Serna, and brother, Jake Maestas. She is also survived by
daughter, Janet (Doug) Davis; sons, Fred (Becky) Roybal and
Danny (Susan) Roybal; 13 grandchildren, and 21 greatgrandchildren.
Betty is predeceased by parents, John and Laura;
brother, Julian Maestas; husband, George; son, George Roybal,
and grandson, Julian Roybal.
A visitation will be held Saturday, May 20 at 11:00 a.m. at
Martin Mortuary, with a funeral service at 12: 00 p.m. A
graveside service will follow at Memorial Gardens, 2970 North
Ave, Grand Junction, CO 81504.
