Robert E. Moore, formerly of Vail and a Greeley resident, died Sept. 17 following a climbing accident on El Capitan in Yosemite National Park, California. He was 42.
Moore was born Sept. 17, 1950 in Omaha, Neb., to Marilyn Francis (Rhodes) and John R. Moore. He married Deborah Kay Lewis in 1986 in Vail and moved to Greeley in February, 1992. He was a graduate of Acalanes High School in Lafayette, and of the University of Northern Colorado in 1975.
At the time of his death he was a concrete construction engineer and the owner of Greeley Concrete.
Survivors include; his wife, Deborah Kay Moore, daughters Alizabeth and Kaitlin, both at home, two step-sons, Jason and Justin Lewis of Minneapolis, Minn., parents, Dr. John R. and Marilyn Moore of Walnut Creek, Calif., and brothers and sisters, John R. Moore of Fresno, Calif., Melinda Marilyn Wheelers of Pleasant Hill, Calif., Charles E. Moore of Denver, Elizabeth E. Mastro of Auberry, Calif., James F. Moore of Hemet, Calif., Kathleen M. Dixon of Ballejo, Calif., and Cheryl A. Nielson of Placerville, Calif.
A remembrance service will be held Thursday, Sept. 24 at Allnutt Funeral Service's Macy Chapel, 702 13th St., Greeley.
