Chauncy H. Moorehead of McCoy, passed away at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO. on July 2, 1962, following a lengthy illness. He had been with his daughter, Mrs. Robert Haberl for several months, in Kansas City.

Mr. Moorehead was born in Charleston, Tenn. on August 27 1890. His family then settled in Ida Grove, Iowa and later moved to Routt County in Colorado where he met Margaret Cole and married her in Denver. A son, James and a daughter, Bette were born. Jimmy and Margaret preceded Mr. Moorehead in death.

He was a long time resident of both Routt and Eagle counties. He was Past Master of Egeria Lodge AF & AM at Yampa and past commander of the American Legion Post at Bond. For many years he was water commissioner in Eagle County.

He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Robert (Bette) Haberl of 9629 Manor Rd., Leawood, Kans.; a brother, Frank of Raton, N. Mex. and three grandchildren, Timothy, Darcy and Randy. Survivors also included the Roy Vawter family of 323 W. Highland Dr., Grand Junction, Colo.

Interment was July 5 in Crown Hill Cemetery in Denver by his wife and son. Howard Mortuary of Denver in charge of arrangements.
