Cora Ullibari, 93, of Grand
Junction passed away
Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at
St. Mary’s Hospital.
The angels of heaven sat
Cora on a satin pillow for her
journey to her awaiting
heavenly home in the early
morning hours following our
festivities here on earth of
glowing fireworks.
She joined her husband, Joe C. Ulibarri; parents; two brothers,
and two sisters, and all of her friends she loved dearly from her
church.
Cora gained her highest reward here on earth as the most
loving wife and mother. She chose to portray her kindness by
giving her canned peaches and tomatoes to everyone who came
by. Her faith and trust in the Lord was all she has ever known,
and beside her family that was all she lived for. Wealth and
earthly gain was never in her book because she talked about her
heavenly mansion that awaited her. If she was in her home, car
or watching TV she was always singing or humming church
hymns.
Cora retired as a nurse with St. Mary’s Hospital for 30 years
serving children in the pediatric ward. She always mentioned
the Sisters by name, and what a pleasure it was to work for
them. Up to her late years she still performed blood pressure
tests with a stethoscope for those that came to her home. She
also worked for a contractor that showed her how to drywall,
texture and paint. Cora bragged about how she was now a pro
and loved painting her own home. She loved weeds when she
was in her yard, and could not bear to pass one bye.
Survivors include sons, Bobby, Gary and Allen Ulibarri all of
Fruita; daughter, Betty (David) Padilla of Thornton, Colorado;
nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 10, 2017, from 5 - 7:00
p.m. at Martin Mortuary. A funeral service will be held Tuesday
July 11, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. also at Martin Mortuary. Burial will
follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
