Requel O. Chavez, 83, Grand Junction, died July 7, 2017, at HopeWest and Hospice Care Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Martin Mortuary with burial to follow at Orchard Mesa Cemetery. She was a homemaker. Survivors include one son, Phillip E. Sawyer of Grand Junction; three daughters, Sally D. Sawyer-Gonzales of Las Vegas, Neva-da, Nadine E. Sawyer of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Julie D. Abeyta of Grand Junction; four sisters; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
