MARGARET MOOREHEAD BURIED IN DENVER
Margaret Moorehead was born in Leadville. Colorado, June 29, 1897, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. J- H. Cole- At the age of five, she moved with her parents and brother to Yampa, where Dr- Cole operated the first hospital and had a wide medical practice. After completing her high, school education in Yampa she studied music at Loretta Heights College, Colorado Woman’s Coljege and at a college in Alton, Illinois- She returned to Yampa where she became a musical inspiration to many young people, who otherwise have lackea such an oportunity. She assisted her father in his hospital work and medical practice gaining a knowledge of medicine and nursing which enabled her to be of great service to her friends and neighbors throughout the countryIn April, 1921 she married Chauncey H- Moorehead and to this union two children were bom. James, who passed away in 1941 and Betty, now living in Denver. Several years ago she moved to McCoy, where she became a leader in all phases of community life. On June 187 1951, she suffered a stroke and passed away June 22 in Denver, a few days before reaching her 54th birthday. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, Ohauncey; her daughter.
