DEATH OF FRANK NELSON

The death of Frank Nelson t his home in Mintum last Friday caoe »» a great shock to his many frierds in the valley . He was stricken with pneumonia Sunday evening , after i visit to Eagle when he appeared to be in the best of health , and the dread disease took its toll suddenly . He had recently been employed as an automobile salesman for the A . B . Koonce Chevrolet Company of Eagle in the Minturn and Battle Mountain section , and had a wide acquaintance throughout the Eagle river valley and on the Frying Pan river where he was born and giew to manhood .

Frank Eddie Nelson was bom on the Frying Pan , in Pitkin county , Coloiudo , on July 7 , 1905 . Died at his home in Minturn , Colx , after an illness of five days on May 15 , 1936 , at the age of 30 years , 10 months and 8 days . Frank received his educational training in the rural schools of Pitkin county , and lived on the home ranch on the Fiying Pan until is 1926 , when he moved to Mintum , where he has since resided , having engaged in farming and mining during his residence in Minium , until the past year , when he engaged i . the automobile business . In 19 S 3 he was united in the bo y bonds of matrimony to Miss Mary Anderson of Minturn , in the cuy of Leadvilie . To this union was uorn one son , Geary , who made the horn 1 - complete with his prattle and love and care . His untimely and unexpected departure from this life leaves to mourn his death his wife and son of the home in Mintum . His lather , Swan Nelson o £ Eagle , Colo . ; his mother ,

Lydia Newkirk , oi Kuedi , Cvlo ., three brothers , Earl and Leon Nelson of Ruedl , and Albert Nelson of Ciwmaron , Colo . ; one half brother , Fred Jakeman , of Minturn , and two half sisters , Mrs . Blanche Elmont and Mrs . Maude Elmont of Basalt , Colo . ; besides many other relatives and a hoat of friends . We can truthfully say in the words written by Phillip Bailey : We live in deeds , not in years ; tn thoughts , not in breaths ; In feelings , not in figures on the dial . We would count time by heart-throbs . He most lives Who thinks most , ieels noblest , acts best . And so our Frank lives in our v-. s today in the thoughts and feelings of the years he spent with us , and we with him . Funeral services were held ir > Miuturn Sunday afternoon from the Presbyterian church , and burial made m Riverside cemetery at Mintum . Rev . T . B . McDivitt of Eagle delivered the funeral discourse , and the services were in charge of the Meyer Mutuary of Red Cliff .
