RAYMOND OLESEN DIED JUNE 24 IN CALIFORNIA

Raymond C. Olesen, native of Eagle, died at Pasadena, Calif., June 24, following an illness of several months. The son of Grace A. Olesen of Eagle and the late Hans P. Olesen, he had lived in Altadena for the past 21 years. He attended Eagle and Gypsum grade schools and graduated from high school in Redwood City, Calif. He received his BA degree in 1935 and his MA degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University in 1936. After graduation he was employed by United Geophysical and Consolidated Engineering, owned by Herbert Hoover, Jr. Since 1946 he has been associated with Transformer Engineers of Pasadena in the capacity of chief engineer and in recent years has been a stockholder in the company. During his college years he served four years in the naval reserve as an instructor. He was married to Maxine Huffman of Palo Alto, Calif. Oct. 23, 1937. He is survived by his wife; a son, Kenneth and a daughter, Sandra: his mother; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Nunn of Burns: Mrs. Wilma Brice of Pleasant Hill. Cal., and two brothers, George of San Jose and Robert of Eagle. His mother and Mrs. Nunn and Robert went from here two weeks ago, when Mr. Olesen's condition became critical, and remained until after his death and funeral.
