Death of John Oleson
Word was received from Mitchell on Tuesday of the death of John Oleson, one of the pioneers of that section of the country. Mr. Oleson had resided in the vicinity of Mitchell for the past twenty-five years. He was a miner and prospector, but on account of failing health he had not been able to do anything for about two years.

Last Saturday one of Mr. Oleson's neighbors was going to Leadville and the former requested him to bring him some medicine. When the neighbor returned from Leadville Monday he went to Oleson's cabin and found him dead, death having occurred some time between Saturday morning and Monday evening.

The remains were brought to Red Cliff Wednesday by Coroner Gilpin and were buried this afternoon from the [illegible] parlors of Mortician Graham.
