MARY J. OLFS
Mary J. Olfs, 85, died in the Leadville hospital November 2, one month before her 86th birthday. She had been ill one month. She was born Mary Earley on December 2, 1875 at St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs Thomas Mark Earley. At the age of two years, she came to Leadville, Colo, iu 1877, and there' she received her education. Mrs. Olfs lived in Gilman for a good many years and was a member of Catholic Daughters of America and the American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by three sons: Edward and Bernard Duffy, and John C. Olfs; and three daughters: Verda Bionaz, Aileen Johns and Agnes Shilling; three grandchildren: Alverda Fender, Betty Joy Taylor and Yvonne Westerbeck. Three great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday In St. Patrick’s Church in Minium by Father Thomas Stone. Burial was in Glenwood Springs. Pallbearers were Willis Bowman Richard Cryan, Thomas Jeffries, John Doyle, Emmett Flaherty, Frank Sherwood.
