Ethel W. Hasbrook, age 99,
of Grand Junction, CO,
passed away on Thursday,
August 31, 2017, at
Community Hospital in Grand
Junction.
Mrs. Hasbrook was born on
October 8, 1917, in Dubuque,
IA to the late Philip Owens
and Anna Juhl Owens. She
married her beloved husband,
Dale D. Hasbrook, on October 14, 1936.
She was preceded in death by beloved husband, Dale; parents,
Philip and Anna Owens; siblings, Mildred King and Harold
Owens, and sons, Terrance Eugene and Ronald Lee Hasbrook.
Survivors include loving daughter, Gail McFarland;
granddaughter, Tracie White (Lee); and great-granddaughter,
Cassi Defler (Kevin).
We know Ethel was welcomed into heaven by her husband,
Dale, and they are once again dancing, fishing, and hunting
arrowheads. Throughout her life she enjoyed fishing,
crocheting, embroidery, watching birds at her bird feeder, and
also watching the Denver Broncos.
The family would like to take this opportunity to personally
thank their family and friends for their love and support and to
also thank Dr.’s Rohn McCune and Todd Karlik as well as
Registered Nurse Zack, and all the staff at Community Hospital
who played a pivotal role in the excellent care Ethel received.
Ethel’s wishes were to be cremated. No services are scheduled
at this time. Donations in her honor may be made to Roice-
Hurst Humane Society, 362 28 Rd., Grand Junction, CO 81501.
