He was dragged about seventy-live foot and his . body badiy mangled . , , , ¦ It is evidentthat-the deceased did not hear or see the approaching train , and all moinb ers of the train crow testify to not having soon him until after the accident _. An incident of the unfortunate accident is that tho victim s littlo dog was with him at the time arid was also killed . Coroner Graham was called to tho scene and investigated the case . ;; . The tragedy was clearly an accidentand tho coroner deemed nn inquest unnecessary , and . the body was turned . over to John M . BaunieiBter , the , _deeousoilB . friend and jusiness associate . . ¦ . . Mr . Partridge was an old resident of the county and a number ot years ago was engaged in mining at Battle Mountain With John M. Baumeister, the deceased friend and business associate. He was a single man about 55 years of age. Several brothers of the deceased are wealthy men residing in Chicago; one of the brothers being a partner in a well known : law firm of that city . The funeral occured at Minturn, on Sunday.
