LaVonne R. “Bonnie” Day, 76, Grand Junction, died July 23,
2017, at her home.
Services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at Callahan-Edfast
Mortuary.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Garrett; one son, Garrett A. of
Grand Junction; one daughter, Renee Day Worrell of Grand Junction;
three brothers, Donald Besaw of Rhinelander, Wisconsin,
Ronald Fuller of Gresham, Wisconsin, and John Besaw of Tacoma,
Washington; and two grandchildren.

by her father, Norbert Besaw;
mother, Marcella Besaw, and
sister, Eyvonne Ebert.
She is survived by her loving
husband of 56 years, Garrett
"Gary" Day, Grand Junction
CO. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Renee Day
Worrell, Grand Junction CO; son, Garrett Day, Grand Junction
CO, and grandchildren, Delaney Worrell, Grand Junction CO,
and Guthrie Day, Napa, CA. She is also survived by brothers,
Donald Besaw, Rhinelander, WI; Ronald Fuller, Gresham, WI,
and John Besaw, Tacoma, WA.
Bonnie was born in Keshena, WI, December 2, 1940. She
graduated from Gresham High School, Gresham, WI, in 1958.
She graduated from Milwaukee School of Beauty Culture,
Milwaukee, WI, in 1960, and held her beautician license for 20
years.
Bonnie was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, and true
friend to many. She had a beautiful, soulful singing voice that
was the highlight of many church services in her little town in
Wisconsin, and brought down the house at family gatherings
throughout her life. Her generous spirit and genuinely kind soul
was well known to anyone she met.
The celebration of life will be held at Callahan-Edfast, 2515
Patterson Road, on Saturday July 29, at 10:00 a.m. A reception
at the Doubletree Hotel on Horizon drive will immediately
follow.
Memorial donations, in her name, may be made to Hope West
Hospice at www.hopewestco.org.
