Elsie M. Pallister of Gypsum died in Denver at Swedish hospital on May 24.
Elsie was born to John and Isabella McMillan Wright in Burns on December 11, 1915. She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Eagle County. Elsie was assistant librarian for 10 years at the Eagle County Library and was active in the Home Demonstration Club. and the First Baptist Church in Gypsum. She also volunteered at the Eagle Historical Museum in her later years.
Elsie married William (Bill) Pallister on May 26, 1936. He preceded her in death. Elsie is survived by her son, Carl Pallister of Denver; daughters Josephine Herder, Thornton, Colo.; and JoAnn Maness of Denver. Other survivors include a brother, John Wright, of Big Springs, Utah; and a sister, Elizabeth Mansfield, of Ponca City, Okla.; 10 grandchildren, and more than 20 great-grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Pallister were held July 1, at the First Baptist Church in Gypsum, officiated by rev. Bruce Foster. Interment was at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Gypsum.
