HATTIE PETERSON BURIED IN EAGLE FRIDAY

Funeral services were held at the Bowman Chapel in Eagle Friday afternoon, for Hattie E. Peterson, who passed away in Las Vegas, Nev., at the age of 83. Mrs- Peterson was a former resident of Eagle, making her home hero for many years before moving to Nevada to live with her daughter, Bernice V. B. AdairHattie Elizabeth Fullord was horn Aug in, at Feeswater, Canada, the daughter of Sarah Jane McLaughlin and Edward Jay Fulford- Her father was an ordained Methodist minister and was called by his church to many now communities- In 1871 the family came to the United States, to Michigan, and eventually to Nebraska, before moving to Red Cliff. Colo-, where they stayed a short time before moving to Eagle, where the permanent home was established on a ranch on Brush cre.ekattie Fulford was married to Thomas E. Klcckner and moved to Aspen to live- In 1897 she was united in marriage to Ole Peterson, and they lived in Leadville for two years, then moved back to Eagle to ranchFollowing Mr. Peterson’s death in 1929 Mrs. Peterson divided her time with her three children in Colorado until 1943 when she went to live with her daughter, Bernice Adair and he r granddaughter. Una McDonald. She passed away Oct- 27, 1952Mrs- Peterson became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1924- Burial was in Eagle under the direction of Bowman Funeral Home. Clyde Bair, L- D- S- Branch President of Glenwood Springs officiated at the service held in the Bowman Shapel. Survivors are two sons, WmF Kleckner, Eagle and Claude E. Peterson, Rifle; two daughters, Bernice Kleckner Adair, Las Vegas, Nev. and Ada Fae Peterson Cook, Pueblo; a nephew, Glen Horton, Eagle and a niece, Nettie Peterson, Twin Falls, Ida-, and a nephew, Fred Horton in Spokane, Wash-, and several I grandchildren. A son, Frankie, I was drowned at 18 month
