DEATH OF MRS. JOSEPH BINDLEY PHILLIPS.

Beatrice Bindley Phillips Dies At La Junta After Few Days Illness —Death Is Greatly Regretted By All Eagle People. , . The community mourns the death of Mrs. Joseph Phillips, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Bindley on July 4, 1946, which occured at La Junta, Colo. Beatrice Mae Bindley was born at Glenwood Springs June 2, 1915. She attended Eagle public schools I and graduated from high school in 1933. On July 16, 1933, she was united in marriage to Joseph Phillips of Ygmpa, Colo. They lived in the Yampa community for a few years. To the union was born four daughters were born. During the past three years the family has resided at La Junta Village, where Mrs. Phillips took an active part in community affairs. Mrs. Phillips was ill less than a week. She was admitted to the La Junta hospital Tuesday monring and passed away Thursday night at 11:30 p. m., o*f a throat infection. Besides the husband, Joseph, and i fbur daughters—Linda Ann, 9, Joyce | Marie 8; Connie Faye 3, and L'enora C!ail 2, there are her parents, Mr. .and Mrs. E. J. Bindley, two brothers— Eldon J. of Corvallis, Ore., Ira *B. of Eagle, and one sister, Ellen Faye, of Eagle. There are also a host of friends and neighbors who mourn the loss of this wonderful mother. A graveside service was held at the Eagle cemetery at 5 o’clock Sunday afternoon, July 7, for members Of teh immediate family and relatives.' , » . The service was officiated- over by , Rev. Paul A. Shields of the Eagle Community Methodist church of which Mrs. - Phillips was a member. -X
