Charles Plasters Services Held In Buena Vista

Services were held at Cauley Mortuary in Buena Vista, October 14 for Charles C. Plasters who died at the Salida Hospital October 11 after a long illness. Born September 26, 1900 at Ft. Collins, he was the eldest son of Alpheus and Frances Plasters. His mother died when he. was seven years old and he atended school near Denver until he was twelve, when he moved with his father and two brothers to Bums, Colorado. He was married July 12. 1926 to Ethel Hight at Glen wood Springs and lived in the Burns country where he was cattle foreman for the Benton-Livestock Co. for many years. They moved to Eagle, then to Aspen and finally in 1949 to Buena Vista where he worked as a guard at the State Reformatory until his retirement this year. Besides his wife, Ethel, two brothers, Tom of Golden and Bill of Henderson, Colorado, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends survive. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Buena Vista and Castle Lodge No. 122 and Eagle Chapter OES. Pallbearers were Fred Rule, Lester Randall and Joe Phillips of Eagle; Carl Schutz, Glenn McMurray and John Mahon of Buena Vista. Honorary pallbearers were Harold Porter, Dan Bratton. Charles Wattles, Lester Peters, Don Wilson, Wilbur Luark and Bob Sinclair. Reverend Kasper officiated at the services. Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Gypum with Castle Lodge A.F. & A.M. in charge.
