News has been received in Eagle 1 thi 3 week of tho Utath -of Stephen Ji Martin Playford at his home near . Forestburg , Alberta , Canada , on I April 10 , 1932 . I The deceased and his family were I residents of Eagle from about 18901 to 1914 , and is remembered here by I all older residents of this section . | Born in Cross Hill , Ontario , Cana- 1 da , September 10 , 1853 , he came to LeadvUle in 1878 . While in Lead- 1 ville , in 1889 , he was married to I Miss Jessie Bone , in Colorado Springs , j Mr . Playford was a member of Leadville lodge No . 51 , A . F . & A . M . and became a charter member ot Castle Lodge No . 122 , A . F . & A . M . j when that lodge was organized in , Eagle in 1911 . Later he was honored with a life membership of the Lead-. ville lodge . In 1914 he moved witli his family hack to the land of his birth , locating near Forestburg , where he died . He Is . survived by his widow and two sons , Alan of Kent , Wash ., and JI Paul of Forestburg ; and three sis- j j ters , Mrs . Madson of Denver , Colo . ; I j Mrs .
