JOHN R. PRENDERGAST
John Raymond Prendergast, 60 died at the Cyrus Dice ranch on Brush Creek of a heart ailment October 31. Mr- Prendergast, who had followed a career of farming and railroading in the west, worked for a time in his earlier life in the mines at Gilman. About a year ago, he returned to the Dice ranch, where he worked several years ago, to make his home in a cabin on the place. Father Joseph Loberer held services at the Bowman Funeral Ohapcl Nov. 4. and burial was in the Highland Cemetery New Castle, where graveside services were held. Burial was under direction of Bowman of Battle Pall bearers were the deceased’s brothers, Francis and Prendergast, his nephew Pud Prendergast: his brother, iu .1- -.u-. A.
