Funeral services for Mayme Louise Stremme Price were held Tuesday December 20 at the United Methodist Church in Gypsum.
Mrs. Price died Dec. 15 at the Trinidad State Nursing Home at the age of 96.
She was born October 10, 1887 in Gypsum, the daughter of John and Julia Stremme. When she was 4 years old, the family moved to Fulford, and remained there until returning to Gypsum in 1905.
On June 12, 1927, she was married to Fred Price who preceded her in death in 1955. Mrs. Price remained in Gypsum until 1972 when she moved to the Trinidad State Nursing Home. Her physical condition had slowly worsened during the past years and after going into a coma on the evening of Dec. 14 she died the following morning.
Mrs. Price was a member of the Crater Rebekah Lodge and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Arthur and Marie Stremme of GYpsum; two nephews, John F. Stremme of Wheatridge and Lynn Ronald Stremme of Berthoud; a niece, Jean Mulunix of Juneau, AK; four grand-nephews and nieces, 5 great-grandnephews and other relatives and friends. Interment was at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Gypsum.
