resident, Irma J. Crick, passed
away on Saturday, September
2, 2017, at Larchwood Inn in
Grand Junction, Colorado.
She was 94 years of age.
Visitation and viewing will
be held from 5:30 until 7:00
p.m., Thursday, September 7,
2017, at the Taylor Funeral
Service Chapel in Hotchkiss,
Colorado. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday,
September 8, 2017, at the Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in
Hotchkiss with Pastor Bobby Crick officiating. Interment will
follow in Riverside Cemetery.
Irma Jane Angle was born on June 29, 1923, in Ellsinore,
Missouri to Herbert A. and Bertha (Foster) Angle. She spent her
childhood and attended school in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
On August 4, 1943, Irma married Robert Lee Crick in Poplar
Bluff. Robert was in the United States Army Air Corps so they
lived many places around the country before settling in
Hotchkiss, Colorado. In 1987, they moved to Grand Junction
where Irma resided until her death.
Irma loved crocheting, fishing, playing card and games. She
was a member of Bookcliff Baptist Church in Grand Junction.
Irma is survived by her six children, son, Rusty (Agnes) Crick
of Fruita, Colorado; son, Wayne (Margie) Crick of Delta,
Colorado; son, Alan Crick of Springerville, Arizona; daughter,
Carol Ashmore of Portales, New Mexico; son, Steve (Lana)
Crick of Springerville, Colorado, and son, Dave (Julie) Crick of
Warrensburg, Missouri; 26 grandchildren and many great and
great-great-grandchildren.
Irma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and
seven siblings.
The family suggests memorial contributions to be made in
Irma’s name to HopeWest Hospice, 3090B North 12th St.,
Grand Junction, Colorado 81506.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor
Funeral Service and Crematory.
