Alexander Maxwell Fraser
passed away on Monday,
October 2, 2017, at St. Mary’s
Hospital in Grand Junction,
CO.
Alex was born in Litchfield,
Illinois on January 13, 1942,
to George William and Goldie
Marie Fraser. He attended
school in Illinois and after his family moved to Colorado he
graduated from Delta High School.
From the time he was 16 years old, Alex enjoyed driving
trucks, traveling to many states and into Canada. He took great
pride in every truck he drove, always had the chrome shining,
adding classy running lights and his personal touch to each one.
Alex and Carol enjoyed their summers 4-wheeling with a
group of very close friends, often planning what became annual
trips to various places. He so loved all his family and friends
and was always there for them no matter what.
Alex is survived by wife, Carol; son, Kevin (Brenda) of Grand
Junction, CO; daughter, Diann of Breckenridge TX; sons,
Rocky (Tianna) of Kodiak, AK, and Dustin of Kodiak, AK; stepson,
Rusty of Grand Junction, CO, and was affectionately
referred to as "Daddy Alex" by Valerie Dawn of Kodiak, AK;
grandchildren, Devin, Amanda, Dalton, Dylan, Kaiden, Virginia
and Makai; great-grandchildren, Coltyn, Addisyn and Madilyn;
brothers, Ray of Thermopolis, WY and Lew of Palisade, CO;
numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, his extended family at
the Eagles Lodge and many, many friends.
Alex is preceded in death by his parents; oldest brother,
George, and step-son, Richard.
Alex was a beautiful, kind and generous person who never met
a stranger and his passing leaves large holes in all our hearts.
He will be greatly missed by all he leaves behind.
A Memorial service will be held at the Eagles Lodge, Grand
Junction, CO, at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2017.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Roice
Hurst Humane Society of Grand Junction.
