BODV Of YOUNG MAN LOST IN GRAND LAST MAY FOUND

The body of Harold Reynolds , who was drowned in the Grand river the 27 th of last May , has at last been recovered , _beinjr _found lodged on a sandbar in the river about three wiles betow where he met his death , by a pa > _-ty of surveyors on the second of this _vvirvn y \ - \

Reynolds was employed by P . Benton on the hitter s ranch in Burns Mole at the time he met . with the fatal accident . Mr . _Hoiton had sent him fora _wapin Reynolds taking a team vith him after the vehicle , riding one o . the horses and leading the other . His journey took him along the Grand river which was swollen to ilood _height by the spring thaws at the time . The trail followed closely the ban _Jc of the river , and at the scene of the tragedy , the river had submerged it . Unknown to Reynolds , the water had washed away the bank and H . s horse plunged int . _> the water throwing its rider into the raging current . The horses _goc out of the rivor . but Reynolds was never

seen alive again . Searching parties organized by friends and relatives of the missing man drajrj ? ed the river thruout the summer without success , and hope of recovering the body had been about abandoned , when the party of surveyors found it accidently . The young man s parents were notified at their home in Roll , Ok la . and they came out to take charge of their son s remains , and while * the body was badly decomposed , it was positively identified by the mother us that of her son . Owing to the decomposed state of the body , it was not possible to ship it back to the parents home in Oklahoma , _iso that it was buried in thecemetcr . at Gvnsum .
