Grand Junction Daily Sentinel page 8A Obituary - October 11, 2017

Sally Quillin was called
home by her Heavenly Father
on October 5. She passed
away peacefully at the age of
77, after a short illness at
HopeWest Care Center. She is
now resting in the gentle
hands of the Lord.
Sally was born in
Gracemont, Oklahoma, August 25, 1940, to Ernie and Martha
Goucher. She was married to Grady Quillin June 10, 1956, in
Caddo County, Oklahoma. Sally and Grady moved to Grand
Junction in 1979, surrounding themselves with breathtaking
views, mountains, and their new home. Sally took pride in
working as a C.N.A. for 30 years, leaving imprints on the lives
of her patients and families through her genuine compassion.
Sally spent her retirement years enjoying traveling, reading,
playing scrabble, and her flower garden. July 25, 2013, Sally
married her second love, Robert Morrison. Together they
enjoyed being active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints and supporting Lion Club activities.
The greatest love in her life was her family, in which she
instilled her love, affection, and morals. She was the most
humble, kind, and honest woman anyone could know. Her
flower garden was enjoyed by everyone who passed by and
came to visit. Sally’s most precious gifts were the memories she
cherished of her family; she touched the hearts of everyone who
knew her. She will be missed with every breath and every
heartbeat.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life for 51 years,
Grady Quillin; sister, Chowning Brake; brother, Gordon
Goucher, and great-grandson, Isaac N. Krebs. She is survived
by their four children, Manessa Quillin, Cindy Simister (Vern),
James Quillin (Sharon), and David Quillin (Tena); 15
grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; two great-greatgrandchildren;
brothers, Pete (Ann), and George Goucher;
sister, Glenda Henson; and her ever-loving husband, best friend,
and companion, Robert Morrison.
Viewing and services were held Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at
the LDS Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to
HopeWest, 3090B North 12th Street, Grand Junction, CO.
81501.
