Casey Joe Gillenwater, 25, Delta, died Sept. 13, 2017.
Services will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Paonia High
School gymnasium. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include his fiancee, Samantha Holm; his parents, Larry and Pam Gillenwater; his grandparents, Dale and Sharon Gillenwater;
and two brothers, Tyler Gillenwater, and Jesse Gillenwater.

Casey Joe Gillenwater
August 17, 1992 - September 13, 2017
Casey Joe Gillenwater, 25,
was born on August 17, 1992,
in Delta, Colorado. He passed
away on September 13, 2017,
the result of a car accident.
Funeral services were held
Sunday, September 17, 2017,
at the Paonia High School
Gymnasium. Interment will
be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Casey spent all of his life on
the family farm on Stewart Mesa. Casey was the middle of three
boys. He attended Paonia schools and graduated in 2011. He
loved to play baseball and football, which he lettered in all four
years of high school.
Casey graduated Colorado Mesa University in December,
2015, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science
and a Minor in Chemistry. He was working construction for
High Country Equipment.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating on Lake Powell, shooting
rifles, snowmobiling, Razor riding and most importantly
spending time with family and friends.
Casey is survived by his fiancé, Samantha Holm; parents,
Larry and Pam Gillenwater; brothers, Tyler and his girlfriend,
Amber Pagone, and Jesse and his girlfriend, Carina Lewton;
grandparents, Dale and Sharon Gillenwater; uncles: Andy
(Shirley) Pavlisick; Bill (Arlene) Pavlisick; Dan (Carri)
Gillenwater, and Rick Gillenwater; aunt, Deb (Phil) Varner;
soon to be father-in-law, Doug Holm and sister-in-law, Justine
(Jake) Hernandez; nephew, Jace Hernandez, and numerous
cousins.
Casey was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and
Lois Pavlisick; uncle, Frank Pavlisick; aunt, Kathy Gillenwater
and mother-in-law, Catherine Holm.
The family suggests memorial contributions to be made in
Casey’s memory to the Paonia High School Athletic
Department, RE: Casey Gillenwater Memorial, 846 Grand Ave,
Paonia, Colorado 81428.
