Delila Marie Lyon February 23, 1932 - August 27, 2017 Lloyd Melvin Lyon passed away August 25, 2017; his wife, Delila Marie Lyon passed away on August 27, 2017. They were married for 67 years. They were married on December 20, 1950, in Laramie, WY. Delila was born on February 23, 1932, in Tie Siding, Wyoming, to Edward and Margaret Borgeman. She spent her childhood in the Laramie, Wyoming area. Delila graduated from high school in Worland, Wyoming. She worked as a clerk and bookkeeper at the University of Wyoming for nearly 30 years, retiring in 1987. She loved camping, golf, gambling, Rockies baseball, Broncos football, anything UW, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Lloyd was born on May 29, 1930, in Craig, CO, to Arthur and Maggie Lyon. He spent his childhood in Craig, and moved to Laramie, Wyoming at age 18. He graduated from University High School in Laramie, WY, where he was Senior Class President. Lloyd was a painter for the University of Wyoming Physical Plant Department for nearly 30 years, retiring in 1986. He served in the National Guard, retiring July 13, 1970. He loved woodworking, painting, camping, golf, gambling, Rockies baseball, Broncos football, anything UW, fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also volunteered at Grey Gourmet. Lloyd and Delila are each preceded in death by their parents, two brothers, and two sisters. They are survived by sons, Don
(Janet) of Peninsula, Ohio, and Mark (Patti) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; daughter, Roxanne (James) Rector of Laramie, WY; Delila’s sister, Della Soellner of Goodland, Kansas; four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on September 23, 2017, at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary in Grand Junction, CO. A separate service will be held in Laramie, WY, at a later date.
