Louis Frank Rimbert was born in Mora, N.M., on October 25, 1923, to Arthur and Lena Rimbert. Louis attended Eagle County High School in Gypsum.
He was a loving husband to Reba, to whom he celebrated 65 years of marriage on Dec. 2, 2009.
Louis entered the U.S. Navy on July 14, 1944, and was discharged from the Navy on Feb. 27, 1946.
Louis was a rancher most of his life and also retired from Eagle County Road and Bridge after 24 years.
He is survived by his loving wife; four daughters, Billie (Floyd) Cordova, Cheryl (Jim) Cowden, Susan (Shawn) Miller, and Heidi (Bill) Mathews; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He will be missed very much.
The family wishes to thank the Clifton Fire Department and all the care givers at St. Mary's Hospital for all the care and kindness given to its husband and father.
Memorial services will be made for a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Veterans Hospital or the Heart Fund.
