COMPESTINE FUNERAL HELD HERE TUESDAY
A requiem mass for Esther COMPESTINE of Milner was recited in the Holy Name Catholic Church Tuesday morning at 11:00 o'clock with the Reverend Kenneth Funk as celebrant.
Mrs. COMPESTINE died in Penrose Hospital, Colorado Springs Friday after exploratory surgery, where it was determined she suffered from cancer.
Born in Italy July 31, 1899, she was the daughter of Joseph and Katherine MICHELETTI. The family came to the United States in 1905 and to Milner in 1923 from Coalview, Colorado where they had lived for seven years.
She was married to Modesto J. COMPESTINE who survives. They have operated the Milner Store since the death of her parents.
She was a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church.
Surviving beside her husband are two sons, Modesto Jr. of Steamboat Springs and Francis C. of Colorado Springs and four grandchildren. The Rosary was recited at the Root Mortuary Monday evening at 7:309 p.m. Serving as pallbearers are Clarence PATTERSON, Auburn LUEKENS, Timer HEID, Coke RUTHERFORD, Jim CAMILLETTI and Frank TIFF.
Interment was in the Steamboat Springs cemetery with the Root Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
