Kurtis Aaron Grady
March 15, 1996 - September 6, 2017
Kurtis Aaron Grady was
given to us by God on March
15, 1996, and returned home
to God on September 6, 2017.
Kurtis joined his
grandparents, Art and Ruby Jo
Grady in Heaven; and awaits
his wife, Katy Brandstoettner-
Grady; parents, Jeff Grady
and Lori Osburn; brothers,
Taylor Grady and Nick
Grady; grandparents, Bill and Naomi Osburn; nephew, Kelldyn
Replogle; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and hundreds
of friends.
Kurtis graduated from Palisade High School in 2014 and
joined the United States Navy in 2016. He was married on June
12, 2017. Kurtis enjoyed sports and anything outdoors; he loved
animals, otters and owls in particular. He loved everyone he met
and instantly made them a friend. Kurtis was a hero, donating
his organs to five people who had been waiting for transplants
for several years due to their rare blood type, which was Kurtis’
theme on life, B+.
Kurtis made a positive impact on everyone he met, and his
wish would be that we all do the same. His unique smile and
infectious laugh will be remembered forever. He will be greatly
missed on this earth, but will be rejoicing in Heaven until we all
meet up again.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 22, at Callahan-
Edfast Mortuary between 5 - 8:00 p.m. We will be celebrating
his life Saturday, September 23, at 10:30 a.m. at Canyon View
Vineyard Church.
In lieu of flowers, an account has been set up at Grand
Junction Federal Credit Union to help young people attain their
pilot’s license.
