Roy Melvin Snodgrass, 81, Loma, died Oct. 19, 2017, at Hope-
West Hospice Care Center.
Services are pending.
He was a bus driver and a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Linda A.; three sons, Larry K. Snodgrass
of Clifton, Michael D. Sneddon of Fruita and Patrick J. Sneddon
of Grand Junction; one daughter, Laura K. Charlesworth of
Fruita; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Roy "Mel" Snodgrass passed
on Thursday, October 19,
2017, at the age of 81, while
peacefully resting at the
Hospice Care Center.
He was born in Fruita, CO to
Don and Tessie Snodgrass
and was a lifelong resident of
Fruita and Loma. He was a
1954 graduate of Fruita Union
High School. Following
graduation, Mel worked for C.R. Brown Oil CO. He then served
in the US Air Force from 1958 - 1962. In 1962 he started
driving for Trailways/Greyhound and drove for 28 years,
although farming was his passion.
In 1954 he married Esther Lake, they later divorced and he
then married Linda in 1979. They had four children, Larry,
Laura, Pat, and Mike.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Evelyn
Bittle. He is survived by wife, Linda Snodgrass; son, Larry
(Pam) Snodgrass; daughter, Laura (Rick) Charlesworth; son, Pat
Sneddon (Kathi); son, Mike (Shannon) Sneddon; seven
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to HopeWest
Hospice Care Center, in Mel’s name.
Open house, to pay respect, will be at the home of Mike and
Shannon Sneddon, 1398 17 Rd., Fruita, on Saturday, October
28th, 2 - 5:00 p.m.
