away on Saturday, October
28, 2017, in Mesa County,
Colorado. He was 24 years
young.
Celebration of Life service
will be held at 10:00 a.m.,
Wednesday, November 8,
2017, at Presbyterian Church
of Delta. Interment will
follow at Mesa View Cemetery in Delta. Please join Ian’s
family after the graveside service back at Presbyterian Church
for food and fellowship.
Ian Michael was born on December 28, 1992, to Anthony
Brian and Elizabeth C. (Celeste) Chaffee in Delta.
He spent his childhood in Grand Junction, graduating from
Grand Junction High School. Ian was of the Catholic faith and a
former member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church
in Grand Junction.
Ian enjoyed art, writing lyrics, fishing, video gaming, football
and running. He especially loved longboarding and freerunning.
Ian is survived by his parents: father, Tony (Angel) Chaffee
and mother, Elizabeth (David Lane) Chaffee, all of Delta;
brother, Joshua Chaffee of Grand Junction; grandparents, Bill
and Mary Jo Chaffee of Delta; step-brother, Christopher
(Angela) Parson of Calhan, Colorado; step-sister, Jyssica
(Jeremy) Roberts and nephew, Qyntinn Roberts of Pueblo West,
Colorado; uncles, Christopher Chaffee of Delta, and Vince
(Toni Mohler) Chaffee of Parachute, Colorado; Jese Uy of the
Philippines; aunt, Belina Uy, also of the Philippines; cousins,
Rachael Chaffee, Lake Chaffee, Nicholas Chaffee, and Hadley
Chaffee.
Ian was preceded in death by his uncle, Dean Chaffee and his
grandparents, Abelino Uy and Abelina Stampa.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor
Funeral Service and Crematory.
