Mrs. Sanley River, 33 and a three year old daughter died of injuries resulting from a car accident on Burns hill in north Eagle county Saturday afternoon, and a son suffered a broken arm. The tragedy occured around 4:30 Saturday afternoon- when Mrs. River and her lour children accompanied by twp neighborhood boys were returning to their Catamount creek home from the afternoon spent in Burns in the Swanson home. Capse of the accident was undetemined but Courtesy Patrolman Jim, Seabry theorized a mechanical defect in the 1939 Ford station wagon was the cause. The car rolled better than 300 feet down the steep embankment- Children riding in the rear seat of the station wagon were thrown from the back before the car rolled down the hill and escaped injury.
