Nelson Boone February 1, 1952 - November 5, 2017
Nelson Boone walked in the arms of the Lord on November 5, 2017, in Grand Junction, Colorado at the age of 65. He passed peacefully in his sleep after a long struggle with Congestive Heart Failure. He was raised in Alleghany County, West Virginia and attended Greenbier High School. He married and had one son, Anthony Boone. He divorced and moved to Colorado to work in the Parachute Mines, commuting from Grand Junction, until they mined out. Nelson worked for Coors Ceramics in Grand Junction for 25 years as a kiln operator. He made many wonderful friends there and met the love of his life , Norma. Nelson married Norma and helped her raise her son, Timothy Wade Barton and sister ,Sierra Barton. He was blessed with three grandchildren, Kenley Boone, Dylan Boone and Hunter Wade Boone. Nelson loved generously, and never forgot a friend. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palisade Funeral Home.
