Maude M. Mosher June 6, 1926 - January 2, 2018
Maude Deming Mosher was born in Longmont, CO on June 6, 1926, the daughter of Lucia and Wallace Deming, and left us on January 2, 2018. She is survived by brother, Walter Deming; her children, Anne (Ernie) Tremblay, Mariam Scott, George (Royce), and Mark Mosher; grandchildren, Greg (JoAnne) Scott, Jenny (Chris) Miller, and Sandy (Mike) Queenan; great-grandchildren, Destiny Scott, Cameron and Cody Miller and Riley Queenan. Maude was a strong independent woman who raised four children on a ten acre farm in Loma. She was a librarian at Fruita Junior/Senior High School and retired as a research librarian for the Department of Energy. She moved to Glade Park in 1993 and traveled extensively after she retired visiting 11 different countries and many places in the U.S. Maude also volunteered with the Glade Park Fire Department, locating and logging the GPS coordinates for almost all of the houses on Glade Park for the Fire Department and Sheriff’s Office. She loved rock hunting, painting, wood carving and writing poetry. She was a little package of dynamite who was much loved by her family, friends and almost everyone she met. We will always remember the example she set for us to follow and the lessons we learned from her. She leaves a hole in our hearts but we know she is at peace with the Lord. Services will be held at the Glade Park Community Center on January 6 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at the Glade Park Cemetery followed by lunch at the Community Center. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Glade Park Fire Department. Messages of condolences may be sent to: www.martinmortuary.com
