Jermaine Christopher Broussard, 46, Grand Junction, died Jan. 4, 2018, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Service information will be available at martinmortuary.com. He worked in the oil and gas industry. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Otero-Broussard; three sons, Lawrence Balerio of Las Vegas, Nevada, Aubrey Broussard of Texas, and Paul Broussard of Grand Junction; two daughters, Lauren Balerio of Grand Junction and Kiara Brown of Louisiana; his mother, Sharon King Broussard of Louisiana; four brothers, Clay Broussard, Jeffrey Quinney and Kenneth George, all of Louisiana, and Albert Broussard of Texas; and two grandchildren. Jermaine Christopher Broussard was born on February 6, 1971 in Lafayette, Louisiana to Sharon and Albert Broussard. His soul departed this earth on Thursday, January 4, 2018. Jermaine was a kind, loving man full of life, hardly seen without a smile on his face. He was loved by many, respected by more. Always a momma's boy, Jermaine made sure he talked to her frequently even after he moved to Colorado in the early 2000’s. Jermaine will be forever remembered by his loving wife and best friend, Sherry Ann Otero-Broussard. Jermaine and Sherry were married on April 7, 2007 in Las Vegas Nevada surrounded by friends and family. Friends were many, near and dear, most were like family. His family was very precious and priceless to him. Jermaine was a dedicated worker in the oilfield, who was loved and/or respected by all his co-workers and those he came in contact with his job at Calfrac Well Service. Jermaine loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending his free time fishing and hunting with is family. Jermaine is survived by his mother, Sharon King Broussard of Lafayette, Louisiana; his wife, Sherry Otero-Broussard of Grand Junction, Colorado; his children, Lawrence Balerio of Las Vegas, Nevada, Lauren Balerio and Paul Broussard both of Grand Junction, Colorado, Kiara Brown of Lafayette, Louisiana, Aubrey Broussard of Huston, Texas, and Myshatra Sylvester of Louisiana; his brothers, Clay (Carrie) Broussard of Lafayette, Louisiana, Albert (Raven Landry) Broussard of Houston Texas, Jeffrey Quinney and Kenneth George, both of Louisiana; and his two grandchildren which he loved so very much, Alex Martinez and Gabriella Brown. Jermaine was preceded in death by his father Albert Broussard. We know he is smiling down on us with that great big smile, rosy cheeks and a twinkle in his eye. He will be missed by all. A visitation will be on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Martin Mortuary. Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, January 13, at 5pm at Martin Mortuary with light refreshments following. There will also be a funeral service in Jermaine’s hometown of Lafayette Louisiana on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Louisiana Avenue United Methodist Church, 2700 Louisiana Avenue.
