Patrick Joseph Doyle, 71, Grand Junction, died Jan. 3, 2018, in Grand Junction. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, with services following, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Graveside services will be at a later date. He was a chief financial officer. He is survived by his wife, Elaine; two sons, Jeff of Grand Junction and Brian of Palisade; one daughter, Irene Doyle of Rulison; three brothers, Timothy of Farmington Hills, Michigan, Terrance of Big Rapids, Michigan, and William of Phoenix, Arizona; two sisters, Mary Walker of Brighton, Michigan, and Janet Doyle of Adrian, Michigan; and one grandchild. Memorial contributions to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 790 26 1/2 Road, Grand Junction 81506.

Patrick Joseph Doyle September 6, 1946 - January 3, 2018
Patrick Joseph Doyle passed away on January 3, 2018. Pat was born in Detroit, MI on September 6, 1946, the son of William and Winnie Doyle. He grew up in Farmington, MI and then lived in Howell, MI. He graduated from Our Lady of Sorrows High School, and served four years in the Navy. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Detroit, and his Masters at Eastern Michigan University where he worked as Vice President of Business and Finance. He then furthered this same career at Colorado Mesa University for 13 years and retired in 2016. Pat loved to golf (but struggled with those four foot putts). He was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and suffered through many losing seasons with Detroit Lions. He had a great Irish sense of humor and enjoyed casual gatherings with friends and family. On occasion, Pat could be found in a casino - usually winning! He loved his kids and his new little grandson. Pat was a creative thinker, a man of integrity who took pride in his work. He was a good man, generous, even to strangers. He was kind, smart and compassionate. He will be missed by all those who knew him. Pat is survived by his wife and soul mate of 40 years, Elaine (Carr) Doyle, and his three children, Irene (Jesse Ooley), Jeff (Kim), and Brian. He was the proud grandfather of Matthew Doyle "The Pook". Pat also leaves his siblings, Mary (Dick) Walker, Janet Doyle, O.P., Tim (Gayle), Terry (Julie), and Bill (Susan). His parents and a younger sister, Rita, preceded him in death. Visitation will be from 10 - 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church on Monday, January 8, 2018 with a scripture service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Donations may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Memorial Fund, 790 26 1/2 Road, Grand Junction, CO 81506.
