Angela McCullough April 15, 1970 - January 3, 2018
Angela Lakin McCullough passed away on January 3rd. She was 47. Although born in Corpus Christi, TX, she was a proud Navy brat, graduating from London Central High School in London, England where she made lifelong Bobcat friends. A loving and caring person, Angela worked for years with disabled adults and though she was a stay at home mom recently, she was to start CNA training this month. She loved her family, music of all kinds, and was a passionate reader. Also, no stray cat or dog went hungry in her neighborhood. She was a bit of a rebel at heart and proud of that, too. When the family settled in the Grand Valley, she married Billy McCullough and had two children. She is predeceased by her father, Andrew Lakin. Survivors include her husband; her children, Scuit and Bonny McCullough; her mother, Janet Lakin and grandmother, Aline Lawson of Cookeville, Tennessee; brother, Drew Lakin of Nashville; sister, Anne McIntyre of Stirling, Scotland, and sister, Elizabeth Lakin of Denver. Cremation will follow and ashes placed in the VA cemetery in Grand Junction, Colorado. "She has slipped the surly bonds of earth.and touched the face of God."- John Gillespe Magee Jr.
