Marcia Eastman passed away on November 9, 2017, of natural causes, in Troy, Ohio. She was 90 years old. Marcia was born on December 13, 1926, to Henry B. Shalosky and Fannie E. Barton, in Columbus Ohio. She married Ernest Eastman on October 21, 1948. Ernest and Marcia moved to Grand Junction in 1972, where she resided for 42 years. She was a retired computer operator for the school district. She moved to Troy, Ohio in 2014. She loved camping and fishing, gardening, her cats and sitting on the porch swing watching the birds. Marcia was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; brother, Frank Shalosky, and daughter, Joyce Sowers. She is survived by sister, Pat Hite; three sons, Richard (Sherry) Eastman, Troy, Ohio; Robert Eastman, Elgin, Texas, and James (Shaunalee) Eastman, Grand Junction, CO. She had 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017, at Martin Mortuary from 5 - 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Martin Mortuary with Pastor Alan Espinosa presiding. Former Grand Junction resident, Marcia Jean Eastman, 90, Troy, Ohio, died Nov. 9, 2017, at the Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today at Martin Mortuary. Services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at the mortuary. Survivors include three sons, Richard of Troy, Robert of Elgin, Texas, and James of Grand Junction; one sister, Pat Hite; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
