Vickie left us much too soon, Sunday morning, December 9, 2017, in Grand Junction, CO, at the age of 68. She was born in Exeter, CA on March 23, 1949, where she grew up and found her true love, Robert H. Mims, Jr. Vickie touched many people with her smile, positive attitude, and loving nature. She collected Broncos memoriabillia and was an avid fan. She enjoyed bowling, and loved Bingo in Grand Junction and Las Vegas. Vickie leaves her devoted, loving husband of 42 years, Robert H. Mims, Jr.; son, Robbie Mims; daughters, Brandi Mims and Tiffany Thomas; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and brothers, Jim Cox and Ray Cox. Visitation will be Saturday, December 16, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. with funeral services taking place at 2:00 p.m. at Palisade Funeral Home, 729 Elberta Ave., Palisade. Pastor Lynn Slaughter of the Fruita Assembly of God Church will officiate. Palisade Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
