Ruby Fay Cole September 19, 1927 - November 10, 2017
Ruby (Osborn) Cole of Clifton, CO, passed away peacefully at HopeWest in Grand Junction, CO on September 10, 2017, after a brief illness. She was 90. Ruby was born on September 19, 1927, in Lamar, CO to Arnie "Amie" and Pearl V. (Johnson) Osborn. She spent her childhood in Hooper, CO. She attended Adams State College and taught school in Hooper, CO. She met her sweetheart, Junior A. Cole, in Delta, CO, and they were married on July 7, 1948, in Salida, CO. Ruby enjoyed church activities and Bible study, gardening, sewing and her chihuahuas. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Jean Pitullo, and Ruth Wills; brothers, Roy, Glen, and Wayne Osborn, and daughter, Patricia. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Junior Cole; children, Linda (Rex) Davis of Albuquerque, NM; Joyce (Jim) Bridwell of Haskell, TX; Roger (Sandy) Cole of Gunnison, CO, and Dale (Kim) Cole of Grand Junction, CO; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-greatgrandchild. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 24, 2017, at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary at 10:00 a.m. A private graveside service will be held at Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HopeWest Hospice.
