James Curt Lent, 68, Grand Junction, died Dec. 10, 2018, at his home. No services will take place. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran. Survivors include one son, Thomas of Grand Junction; one daughter, Mandy of Grand Junction; and six grandchildren.

James Curt Lent, age 68, was born January 20, 1949, in Grand Junction at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was the son of Thomas E. Lent and Rosa M. Lent. He passed away in his sleep on Decembem 10, 2017. As a native of Grand Junction, he enlisted into the United States Marine Corps at the age of 17, to join the fight in the Vietnam conflict. He obtained his GED while in the Marines, and received the rank of Sergeant (E-5). His years of service encompassed seven years, five months and 16 days. In that time he went on multiple tours and earned many medals with an honorable discharge at the end of his military career. He returned to Grand Junction and joined the family business, Lent Stucco and Plaster and remained there until his retirement. He enjoyed his kids, riding motorcycles, painting, drawing and wood working. He is survived by two sons, and a daughter, along with six grandchildren. He will be greatly missed, and always remembered. (RPD)
